The Alice Project

Now this is a very special project to me, that has been evolving over time until it's reached it's current concept. For a long, long time, one of my favorite stories of all time has been "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", and for the longest time, I've been wanting to tell my own version of the story, especially since I have been not very fond of some people's versions and the way they almost always combine both "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There" into one story. The only interpretation I can forgive doing this is "American McGee's Alice" his version takes place after her adventures, and inside of her head, while she fights to save a rotting Wonderland.
Anyway, I've debated trying to adapt it into a comic straight out, going word for word from the book, as well as various other directions. It eventually took a place in the back of my mind, and didn't come out again until I walked into a store that I'm ashamed to have ever entered, and saw merchandise for something called "Dark Wonderland", took one look at their Cheshire Cat, and thought to myself what utter shit it looked like.
So fuck it, and I started to develop my version.
It took the form of a massive video project, that is currently not finished, and I'm not sure if it ever will be, because of the nature of it. Inspired by "The Beaver Trilogy" I decided that I would create this project by shooting a version, revising it, shooting it again, and so on until it's done. Most likely the next version won't contain any footage that was shot for these 2, even though it'll contain some, if not all, of the same scenes.
The story (as of July, 2006) revolves Alice Liddell searching for her sister Blanche (nicknamed Conejo) as she's losing her grip on reality. It's more complex than that, but it removes the fun if I give it all away...
